Jewel is a Brooklyn-born tenacious businesswoman. She credits her Jamaican and Kittitian heritage for the drive that brought her back to the Caribbean to use her international experience to positively impact business in Jamaica. Passionate abut community service, Jewel is the president of the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica Western Chapter, and president of Jamaica Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She has also served as the past president of Association for Training and Development Savannah GIG and member of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce. She is a community service advocate having served on the boards of Communities in Schools,
the MLK Foundation, and Quantum, Inc.
On any given day, you can find Jewel developing leadership curriculum for her company's accomplished list of clients that include Caribbean Producers James (CPJ), CitiTrends, Couples Resorts, DIRTT Environmental Solutions, MBCC, Total Jamaica, Vistaprint, the US Army, City of Savannah, International Greetings, Savannah State University, and Interfor Lumber. It is her greatest work love along with Coaching and writing. A former journalist, the northern NY city girl turned ex-pat now spends more of her time delivering virtual training and consulting with organizations on best practices to eclipse the current economic downturn caused by the global coronavirus pandemic.
Her strong work ethic and business acumen have been recognized by former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes and Congressman Jack Kingston. Jewel has also been featured in Georgia Trend magazine, the Savannah Business Report and Journal, Skirt magazine, Onyx Woman, The Savannah Morning News, The Savannah Herald, and London's The Post business newspaper and won recognition as Entrepreneur of the Year.
